Stephen is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Credible. Stephen has led Credible’s strategy and execution since inception, launching the Student Loan Refinancing, Private Student Loan Origination, Personal Loans and Credit Cards Marketplaces, and growing the Credible team to more than 100 people.

Credible has raised more than $70 million in capital, including a successful initial public offering (IPO) on the Australian Securities Exchange (ASX) in 2017. Prior to founding Credible, Stephen was an Investment Banker at J.P. Morgan, an Investment Director at M.H. Carnegie & Co and a Co-founder of Quickcharge Media. Stephen holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Hons) from the University of Queensland.

As someone who’s been through the full startup journey, and prior to that having sat on the investor side of the table, we’re excited to learn a lot form Stephen’s journey at our June event!

In a special bonus, we’ll also be joined by Max Cunningham, Executive General Manager, Australian Stock Exchange (ASX). In many ways, Max holds the keys to startups listing on the ASX. There is a tremendous amount of interest from Australian investors (especially from SuperFunds) in Aussie tech, and Max will be spending a couple of days in SF (along with us on Thursday night) and would be happy to connect with any startups that are interested in alternative pathways to funding than the Sand Hill Road journey.
