Fundraising: the Bay Area approach, how to fundraise in Silicon Valley for your startup. Thursday November 16th, 6pm to 8pm
For Founders in the Bay Area, advice and introductions around fundraising are always top of their list! So we've organized a special panel with experienced, no-nonsense investors and entrepreneurs (so you can get advice from both sides of the table). Our panel lineup includes:
John Komkov, Founder & Managing Partner Fathom Capital, an early-stage VC firm focusing on enterprise applications and IT infrastructure investments. John was previously at Lightspeed Venture Partners and Austin Ventures, and was part of the Council of Economic Advisors at the Whitehouse.
Casey Ellis, Founder & CTO Bugcrowd, an innovator in crowdsourced security for the enterprise. Casey has raised $24M and his clients include the kinds of people who can tell you what they do, but would then have to kill you!
Duncan Davidson, Founder & Managing Director Bullpen Capital, the pioneer and leader in Post Seed rounds with a fund mantra to: help the companies succeed, not focus on the deal! Bullpen, an $85M fund has invested in more than 50 companies since 2010 (including Zynga, TubeMogul & Marketo). Previously a serial entrepreneur he founded Covad Communications in 1996, the leading independent DSL provider; with less than $12M of venture investment, he IPO’d and reached a $9B market value.
We also have the star of Shark Tank Australia, Steve Baxter, leading a group of early stage investors who are looking to make connections to Aussie startups joining us along with the latest cohort from Muru-D in Brisbane.
Join us for pizza and drinks at the SF offices of Perkins Coie, the AFN’s generous venue partner.
We also extend our thanks to CSIRO and Austrade - for supporting the AFN.
