Carl comes with a string of accolades to his name; Deloitte Rising Star Award, the IBM Global Entrepreneur of the Year Award for AU, APAC & Runner-Up Globally, and an EY 2014 Entrepreneur of the Year Award (Technology Category, Northern Region) and was recently appointed Adjunct Professor for Entrepreneurship & Innovation at the University of Queensland.
Having recently completed a complete successful exit for Temando to French listed company Neopost, Carl will discuss the very real challenges founders face, from scaling a business globally and operating in four major markets simultaneously to growing (and exiting) through business and corporate development to attracting the right talent and building a good culture.
Carl will also discuss how some of these challenges led him to co-found a new startup, Shortlyster, which enables businesses to identify, match, and rank order candidates who best fit their jobs, work teams, and cultures using data analytics, algorithms, and machine learning to compare and contrast candidates on personal, job, and organisational fit requirements.
