The Aussie Founders Network exists to help founders with an Australian connection build more successful technology companies. As any founder knows, we learn a lot of lessons the hard way, so we wanted to create a way for Founders to come together and help each other with advice and insights.
Thanks to the support of Salesforce for Startups and the folks at Salesforce Ventures, we're hosting a special event on Monday January 16th. We'll all be coming together under one roof at Salesforce's Tech & Product headquarters in downtown San Francisco for an afternoon of mentor roulette, domain specific advice and sharing of hard won lessons learned.
To the More Experienced Founders
This event is the perfect opportunity to share some of the things you wish you knew when you were early on and fresh off the boat. You'll be joined by other accomplished founders - and have an opportunity to each and learn - and all you need to bring along is yourself.
With around 50 founders in attendance - including from programs like Startmate, Muru-D and Austrade's SF Landing Pad - this first Founders Helping Founders event is an ideal way to give back to the community and help those coming after you to make different mistakes to the ones you've made ;-)
To the Early Stage Founders
We know how hard it is to land in a new place and try and make your startup succeed, because we've been right where you are. Whether we succeeded or failed on our first venture, we've learned a lot of lessons and want to help you succeed.
The Aussie Founders Network is a voluntary community of other Founders, so by participating they're giving you their time, generously. This is not a "pitch event" where you'll stand up and try and impress a room - this is an event to bring your questions, your convictions and a willingness to listen and most of all learn.
